I’d describe myself as an Agilist, Computer Scientist, Consultant, All Around Good Guy!

I’m a founder and principal of The Refactory, Inc., a consulting and mentoring business. I’m President of the non-profit called The Hillside Group—a group dedicated to improving the quality of software development.

I’m also a speaker, pattern author, and co-author of the Big Ball of Mud pattern, which illuminates many fallacies in the approach to software architecture.
